On Friday March 22nd, the City Cinema is showing “Promised Land”, a story about fracking. Don’t Frack PEI will be there, and we’ll be heading to the pub for a discussion after the movie, all are invited. Our group has met with the PC Party to discuss our concerns over fracking. We will shortly be meeting with the NDP, have put in a request to make a presentation to the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Environment, Energy and Forestry, and are talking to the Green Party. We intend to help all parties become informed of the issues, and of the alternatives to shale gas – e.g. sun, wind, water.

Our presentations to the CARI Seniors Active Living Centre was well received, as was the presentation that we made at a meeting hosted by two watershed groups – with 45 attendees. We expect to make many more presentations in the near future.
